The Topaz Motel was constructed in 1958 as the "Topaz Court". Two years later a second level was added to the front end of the building. The addition increased the size of the motel from 5 to 10 rooms. The picture to the rights shows the front end of the motel before the addition was added. In 1968 the Topaz Motel added a second building and the pool. The addition increased the motel to its modern size of 21 units. The picture to the left shows the motel shortly after the addition was built in 1968.
